Vintage Fenton Silver Crest Compote Dish.  Fenton’s Silver Crest pattern, denoted by a 1/4″ clear glass edge on the ruffle, is perhaps its second most famous pattern, after hobnail.  The 'Silver Crest' is a clear crystal edge that was first applied to milk glass pieces. Introduced by Fenton in 1942, it was an instant success.
