A beautiful Windsor pattern bowl, in red with lid made by the Indiana Glass Company. This piece is well know and collected by many, this pattern was produced around 1980s and was made in several colors and pieces. The color red in this pattern is not a common find and I was so excited to find it for the shop. This piece is approximately 40 years old and does have signs of wear but still has a lot of life left in it. As seen in the photos there is some deterioration of the color on the lid around the top. It is still stunning for such a rare find.
This gorgeous bowl is filled with highly scented hand poured soy wax. It is scented with Rose fragrance oil. A sensuous blend of rose and velvety sweetness. Rosebuds are surrounded by delicate green tones to captivate the senses. A cloud of vanilla surrounds the floralcy.
The Indiana Glass Company of Dunkirk can trace its roots to the founding of the Beatty-Brady Glass Company in 1897. For more than a century, the glass company based in this small Indiana town manufactured everything from iridescent carnival glass to Depression-style tumblers, goblets, and plates. Glassware patterns ranged from avocados to horseshoes, while Indiana’s Pyramid line had a decidedly Art Deco look. Within the first decade of operations, though, the Indiana Glass Company’s identity was defined more by mergers and the economy than by anything it produced.
